Mangu Singh
Mangu Singh (born 15 December 1955) is managing director of Delhi Metro. He took over as managing director after E. Sreedharan, the former managing director, retired from service on 31 December 2011. He is an Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer of the 1981 batch. ==Personal life== Singh was born in Najibabad, a small town in Uttar Pradesh. Born in Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh) on 15 December 1955, Singh received his early education from his native place and later graduated in civil engineering from the highly prestigious University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) in 1979 with an outstanding academic performance. He also received Master of Science (sustainable development). He is another famous personality from Bijnore (U.P.) after Raja Jwala Prasad (another luminary from his alma mater, erstwhile Thomason College of Civil Engineering, Roorkee 1900 batch who was an eminent civil engineer during the British Raj and a great philanthropist).
